Higher Secondary Syllabus 2020-21

Higher Secondary Syllabus 2020-21: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), Assam published notification regarding HS new Syllabus 2020-21 where AHSEC, Assam has reduced its syllabus by 30 percent looking at the situation due to COVID-19 outbreak & nation-wide lock-down. This new HS Syllabus is applicable to the both 1st year and 2nd year students under AHSEC, Assam.

Higher Secondary Syllabus 2020-21 Details

Applicable Classes : HS 1st Year and 2nd Year, (Arts, Science & Commerce)

Name of the Council / Board : Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC)

Academic Session: 2020-21

The Academic Committee of AHSEC in its meeting held on 19th August 2020 had decided to reduce the 30% volume of the course contents of Higher Secondary 1st and 2nd year to be made judiciously to remain acquiring comprehensive knowledge of the subject. It is also decided that the skill based subjects, i.e. Music which carries 30 marks in theory will be remain same. The subject ‘Environmental Education/ is also exempted as it carries 50 marks only.

The main objective is to reduce the exam stress of the students of the session 2020-21, due to this pandemic situation and to prevent learning gaps.
