SAMS Odisha Student login – Student Academic Management System (SAMS) is an integrated Academic Management System and comprehensive tool for students/parents, administrators at colleges & Government as well, to overcome the challenges in the process of college admissions and post admission processes. The entire college admission process was proposed to be digitized in SAMS starting from Application, Selection, and Intimation & Admission for hardware & connectivity architecture, a Hub & Spoke model was conceived.

Student Admission in Junior (+2), and Degree (+3) Colleges were done in offline mode where students were required to go to every colleges to apply for Admission (for e.g. if a student desires to apply for five colleges he/she have to go every college) which turned out to be an arduous task for students. Looking at the amount of effort and expenses incurred through the Offline admission process, Online (web-based) admission process was planned by Higher Education Department. This was later named as Student Academic Management System (commonly known as SAMS).

A student is required to register herself/himself to avail different services under SAMS (e-Admission) such as online application, payments, selection, intimation, etc. The registration will be through an OTP (One Time Password) process, hence a mobile number & email is very crucial. Multiple registrations are restricted against single mobile & email.
Degree
The ONLINE Application Form for Colleges who desire to apply for HPC are available in the website http://online.samsodisha.gov.in/DHC/HPCRegister.aspx, which may be filled up correctly and should be submitted ONLINE on or before due date & time.

Click the Login button which redirects the user to the following login screen-
Here the user gets two options- either to sign up through a new user or login through an existing user.
For a new user, click the Register (New User) option to proceed. The new user is redirected to the screen wherein the name of the president/secretary, address, Aadhaar number, mobile number, Email and address details can be filled-in in the respective sections.
Click on the Register button to register the name of the user. After clicking the Register button, a confirmation screen is displayed, giving the message that registration has been completed successfully for the new user and the user name and the password has been sent to the registered mobile number and email id.

In this screen the registered user provides their registered Mobile number and the Password which has been sent to registered Mobile number or Email id in their respective fields. Enter the Captcha in the given field and click on the SIGH IN button.
In case of an existing user – Enter the registered SAMS Code as assigned in the given space followed by the Password received. Enter the Captcha appearing in the code box and click the SIGN IN button. After clicking, the following screen will be shown where the user can apply the application in online, edit the application which was applied before and see the status of the applied application by clicking the respective fields.
- If the user wants to apply the application Online, then click on the Apply Online button.
- After clicking the Apply Online button the user will be redirected to the following screen.
- In the above displayed screen, select the “Permission Type” to choose for the type of permission the user will apply the application from the drop down list.
- If the user applies the application for the existing Higher Secondary School / college then the Institution Type, District, Block and College Name are already selected and remains disabled otherwise enter the college name.
- Select the Stream name along with the Subject name which the user wants to open in that institute from the drop down list.

No, you need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the CP, take print copies of the College/Institute Copy & Applicant Copy and submit at any of the nearest SRC (Junior / Degree / ITI) College along with the photo copies of the documents as mentioned in the College/Institute Copy and CAF fees.
What is the maximum number of options to fill in a CAF?
– For +2 Junior applicants it is ten (10) – For +3 Degree applicants it is twenty (20) – For ITI applicants it is up to maximum combination of ITI + Trade available.
